Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. 2. December 2010. African Metals Corporation (OTCBB: 912 759, TSX Venture Exchange: AFR) reports on the state of the drilling activities on its projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

RC drilling on the slopes of Luisha South and RC drilling at Luisha South-soil anomalies

Magnum Drilling Sprl completed in October 2010 a 42 hole RC drill program complete (Reverse Circulation, Rückspülbohrungen) on the clearing of the historic mining Luisha from South. The program provided including normal samples for quality control of 418 samples from 383 meters of drilling. Magnum Drilling Sprl completed four holes also an extensive RC drilling program, the south and southwest of the pit copper regional anomalies in the soil examined. The program provided 116 samples from 200 m of drilling? Lich Including the samples for quality control.

All 534 samples were sent for processing and multi-element ICP analysis to the ALS laboratory in Johannesburg, South Africa. Problems of customs control and transit protocols at the borders between Zambia and Zimbabwe and Zimbabwe and South Africa led to the samples at ALS with a two-week delay arrived. The border problems were mainly based on a backlog of trucks that transported blister copper from the DRC.

The samples are now being accelerated in ALS processed and the results are expected mid-December.

Core holes in Luisha South Open Pit

Rubaco Sprl began on 17 October 2010, a 1,000 meters of drilling NQ core drilling program comprehensive. To date, at the pit bottom five holes drilled with a total length of 365.20 meters. The rate of penetration has been hampered by technical problems? Lich Including the lack of Bohrzusatzmitteln, water loss, a single layer over the first three weeks. The drilling crews were not familiar with the lithologies of the copper belt. There have been steps to address these problems. It was holding a core recovery 83-91%.

To accelerate the drilling program was DrillTek Sprl with the core drilling au? OUTSIDE of the mine commissioned during Rubaco brought down the open pit wells planned. DrillTek Sprl began drilling operations on 15 November 2010. To date, they have drilled 3 holes with a total length of 218.80 m and an NQ diameter. The core application was> 95%. DrillTek lost three Bohrtage due to a defective nuclear apparatus. They are working on a 200-m-bore.

Overall, the project core holes drilled with a total length of 584.00 meters.

All wells met resistance to a copper shingle and Carrollitvererzung. According to visual assessment is the chalcopyrite content of between 0.5 and 3%, sometimes at 5%. The closing in the cores observed Vererzungsarten? En both syngenetic (layers of parallel thin lenses are replaced by pyrite and chalcopyrite Carrollite) and epigenetic (in crevices and corridors hosted sulphides) a. The orientation of the cores is needed to determine the trends of the tectonic Gangvererzung. Carrollite is a cobalt sulfide mineral, composed of about 40% cobalt and 20% copper. The remainder is iron, sulfur and small amounts of nickel. Carrollite suitable for bio-leaching (bio-leaching) and weathered to the high grade cobalt mineral heterogeneity. The visual estimates of mineralization can be personalized with the results of the first round to compare the RC drilling which was completed in June 2010. AFR is is confident to produce a geological connection between the holes.

Rubaco still needs about 3 holes (100 meters) down bring anything new short holes on the pit bottom and at the entrance to the mine. DrillTek still has about 6 Tails (renewal of RC drilling with a core hole) with a total length of 375 m on the south side of the pit to finish. If improving the drilling performance further, could add up to 4 additional core drilled holes. AFR plans to close all the holes until mid December? En. The receiving core and core sampling will extend up to the Christmas holidays and beyond. The analysis results are expected at the beginning of SGS Fabruar back and allow a resource estimate by the end of February.

AFR is the market in terms of progress, if and when the results are available during this exciting phase of development of the company to keep up to date.
